Human resources development to support a strong organization

The Orion Group has established a basic human resources development philosophy and aims to improve organizational productivity by supporting the “growth” and “autonomy” of individuals, establish a strong organization supported by sophisticated expertise through continuous implementation of the human resources development system, and create a behavioral culture in which “learning” is prioritized.

ーMajor initiatives to dateー

Orion Breweries, Ltd. provides training for managers annually, next-generation leader training, the Orion Way training, diversity training, and various other training programs. In addition, to support employees’ voluntary learning, the Company has established a capability development support system so that if a certain program is deemed necessary for a person’s job, the Company pays all the fees for examinations and courses. (*In the case of qualifications, only those who pass the examination are eligible for such financial support.)

Example

Japan Sommelier Association’s certified sommelier examination: 5 employees gained certifications. (FY2021 – FY2023) 
Two of them were involved in the planning and development of Southern Cross Winery Passion Fruit, which was released in March 2024. This wine was so well received that all production was shipped within four days of its release.
