Basic Philosophy

Under our group’s mission of “Proudly from Okinawa, Orion makes people, makes occasions, helps the world smile.” we strive to preserve the local environment and cultural values. We are committed to promoting local industries and contributing to the development of regional communities. At the same time, we aim to conserve the rich natural environment of Okinawa, enhance energy efficiency, sustainably use resources, and protect biodiversity across the entire group. We pursue responsible actions to build a society where humans, nature, and ecosystems coexist in harmony.

Action Guidelines

１．Efforts to Reduce Environmental Impact

We take the following actions to minimize environmental impact in all our business activities

  • Strive for energy conservation and the use of renewable energy.
  • Work on reducing water usage and evaluating/managing water risks.
  • Aim to reduce waste, improve recycling rates, and cut down on food waste and plastics.

２．Promoting Activities to Protect the Environment with Local Communities

  • Actively participate in activities to protect local natural resources and cultural heritage.
  • Contribute to regional development through volunteer activities and environmental awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local partners to preserve the natural environment and cultural value of tourist destinations for future generations.

３．Conservation of Biodiversity

  • Evaluate the impact on biodiversity at our business locations and carry out conservation activities.
  • Promote the sustainable use of natural resources to maintain ecosystem health.

４．Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • Comply with regulations and, if necessary, establish and adhere to our own standards.

５．Raising Awareness Among Employees and Customers

  • Promote the creation of a bright, enjoyable, and fulfilling workplace where each employee can demonstrate autonomy and creativity.
  • Encourage customers to consider the natural environment and regional culture.

６．Utilizing Environmental Management Systems

  • Establish and appropriately operate standards, such as ISO14001 and our own criteria, to improve environmental performance.
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.

７．Transparency and Public Disclosure

  • Regularly disclose environmental conservation goals and achievements to build trust with external stakeholders.
  • Report environmental activities to the Board of Directors and management at least once a year to strengthen sustainability efforts.

Scope of Application of the Environmental Management System

This environmental policy applies to all business activities within the Orion Group, including the brewery and beverage business, tourism and hotel business, and other businesses. This policy was approved by the Board of Directors in January 2025.
